Natural Remedies for Body Odor
We all know that perspiration is the cause of body odor. Normally, this is odorless unless influenced by bacteria. Anaerobic bacteria multiplies when the body doesn't have enough oxygen. If body odor is very unpleasant it may affect your social life. Body odor may be caused by serious affections like liver disease, kidney disease or strong medication. Alcohol drinkers and cigarette smokers also give out an unpleasant odor. Poor hygiene is the most common reason for body odor.
To fight off body odor, the first step is using an antibacterial soap that kills the bacteria. Cotton clothes will absorb the sweat during the summer time, when you're heavily sweating. Your deodorant clogs sweat glands so it's better to wipe your armpits with vinegar or white alcohol. Apple cider vinegar can be used to fight under arm odor.
A very popular herbal remedy for body odor is sage. You can use sage essential oil or tea bags; apply tincture or oil combined with water on areas that heavily sweat. You can also drink the tea or use it as a wash. Tea tree is an antibacterial herb and, by combining two drops with an ounce of water you'll have a good deodorizing effect. Orange juice, lime juice and grapefruit juice are also a good remedy for body odor.
